About Wendy

​

Wendy is senior level Human Resources (HR) Leader with over 10 years' progressive HR experience in education and health care, both in the private and nonprofit sector.

​

She is passionate about Human Resources, and due to her success in the field it spurred her to start her very own HR firm, Kelly’s HR Services (KHRS). KHRS is aimed at helping small to mid-size organizations cost-effectively outsource their human resource departments, providing services such as, but not limited to, a dedicated HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, Benefits Administration, Payroll & Accounting Services, and more.

Wendy earned a Bachelor of Health Services from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and a graduate degree from Florida International University with a Master of Human Resource Management.  Wendy is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP),  as well as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

​

As a daughter of a migrant and domestic worker, Wendy recognized from an early age the importance of a solid educational foundation and the opportunities it presented, in 2015 she started Women of Opportunities, a nonprofit organization that provides monetary awards annually to women who have beaten the odds.

​

Wendy is a passionate community servant, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a Charter Member of Alpha Alpha Upsilon Omega (AAUO). She also serves as  the AAUO Women’s Health & Wellness Committee Chair, inspiring and engaging individuals and communities to improve the health and well-being, often through preventive care of the community.

​

In addition, she serves as a Board Member for Pace Center for Girls, Palm Beach and maintain close ties with both FAU and FIU, having served on the universities' alumni board of directors, assisting with fundraising, the awarding of scholarships and development of community engagement programs.

​

Lastly, Wendy is also a founding member of the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), credentialing organization for HR professionals, ambassador program, Eddy encyclopedia content writer and a recipient of the 2020 Most Inclusive HR Influencer.
